Old Business:
We discussed our LiFE Grant of $250. It was suggested we wait until fall to decide on details of purchasing books and the selection of which organizations to distribute to. Several ideas were presented about looking at online sources for purchase and Camille said her daughter receives a discount from Barnes and Noble. Angela suggested in addition to purchasing books members would continue to donate as well. Linda recommended our book selections include diversity themes. Kim mentioned due to COVID some organizations might not be accepting books at this time. Jackie asked that we make sure to document this project with pictures. We will take all of these ideas into consideration and proceed in the fall.
New Business:
Gamma Zeta 2020 Chapter Service Award presentation to Jackie Wayman. Jackie has been a dedicated member of our chapter since 1989 and has served in a variety of leadership roles, including 1st and 2nd VP, Secretary and several terms as our President. She has also spent many hours creating/updating/maintaining the Chapter’s website, Facebook and capturing our meetings and events in photo books as our Historian. Congratulations to Jackie on her outstanding service to our chapter!
Exciting news from Karen Bowen. She is moving to Washington to be close to her son and new grandbaby! She will remain with us as a Reserve member and will continue to stay in touch with us. Her new address is: 7114 Allman Ave. S.E., Snoqualmie WA 98065
Adjournment:
We wished all those who have June and July birthdays happy days!
We will resume our meetings in the fall.
